Title: Don't Call Me Angel (Forsaken #1)
Author: Alicia Wright Brewster
Published: 2012
Synopsis from Goodreads
After crawling her way out of Hell, Six is ready to cast aside her angel wings and all the responsibilities that come with them. But Earth is not as peaceful as she imagined it. Demons, dark angels, and other hell-beasties escaped before her, and they're not as content as she is to live a quiet life on Earth.
A fellow angel who escaped Hell with her commits a series of soul-murders, destroying human souls so they can't go to the afterlife. Although Six has conflicting feelings about humans, she goes after the other angel to keep their escape a secret from the one she fears most.
"Don't Call Me Angel" is the first book in Alicia Wright Brewster's new Forsaken Series
An angel named Six along with her bud Alden escape from Hell. YAYS!!! But Six isn't happy. Is she? She's tired. She doesn't want to be what she is. But how can she escape what she is? Is it possible to change yourself? To run away from what you've always been?
Six gets separated from Alden as they fall to Earth. Naked and alone, Six encounters the dangers of the world. Hell isn't the only scary place known to man.
Back and forth Alden jumps through the story. He reminded me of Loki. He even had green wings!!! So, while Alden is jumpity jump jump, Six can't really rely on him because he has the attention-span of a gnat. That's when she runs into Cara. Cara takes Six in because she knows what Six is (I believe she is in aww of having an angel around and wants to get in good with the big guy. But she's a hell's angel... doesn't that make her a part of a biker gang? HAHAH!)
Learning about the world around her, Six stays at Cara's pad but is thirsty to explore the world around her.
"Don't Call Me Angel" while short is action packed and with a knockout ending. It will leave you breathless and wanting more as you fly through the pages.
