Synopsis borrowed from Goodreads:

The sky is dark with wings . . . .

Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.

Yet together they will face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed. And suddenly Luce knows what must happen.

For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now will be the only one that truly matters.

In the fight for Luce, who will win?

The astonishing conclusion to the FALLEN series. Heaven can’t wait any longer.

Darkfallen says goodbye:

Well this is it...

The entire series has all been leading up to this one moment...

Now it's over...and I cried...

Luce and Daniel are running out of time. The clock is ticking and they only have the next nine days to stop Lucifer. It took nine days for the angels to fall from Heaven the first time, and it is all the time they have now to stop the fall from happening again, and ultimately wiping out the world as we know it. The only problem is that none of the angels know where the original site of the fall is. Can they find it in time? And just what will it take to stop Lucifer?

In the end everything comes down to Luce and Daniel, and everything comes with a price...

First I want to say that this book was chalked full of action and OMG moments that makes it hard to put it down. You get so sucked into the story that you just want to devour each and every page in one sitting. With a new villain thrown into the mix, and twists and turns that you would never see coming you will definitely find yourself gasping for air on more than one occasion. Not to mention that we get Daniel back throughout the whole book again and the relationship between Daniel and Luce couldn't be any sweeter. I was so happy to see them together the whole time. Working side by side. Even though Daniel still has some of his secrets he is not willing to share throughout most of the book, Luce is learning more and more about herself everyday, and in the end all secrets are revealed. Your not left with unanswered questions, and better yet, you finally understand why Daniel has had to keep the secrets from Luce.

I will say that the ending is sugar and spice and everything nice that you could hope for with a twist that makes it a tad bit bittersweet. Still I wasn't ready to say goodbye top these two and I would have loved to have just one or two more chapters to give me a little more. Just a peak into the lives of the whole gang a few years further down the line. But what can I say? I just don't want to say goodbye. I'm in denial.

This is a true and epic love story that will stick with me for a long time. I am so glad that I picked this up 4 years ago and gave it ago. Still I have to say my all time favorite book in this series has to be Fallen. The book that started it all...

Passion by Lauren Kate: Review

Passion (Fallen #3) By Lauren Kate
Published June 14th 2011 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers
Pick up your copy today at Amazon, B&N, or your local indie!!

Synopsis borrowed from Goodreads:

"Every single lifetime, I'll choose you. Just as you have chosen me. Forever."

Luce would die for Daniel. And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way. . . .

Luce is certain that something—or someone—in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime . . . going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel . . . and finally unlock the key to making their love last.

Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history.

Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames . . . forever.

Darkfallen's pained thoughts:

OK so I LOVED Fallen...

I LOVED Torment....

I Heart me some Lauren Kate...PERIOD!

But it pains me to say that Passion just fell flat for me. I mean it seriously pains me:((

While I did enjoy some parts most of it felt like a bunch of filler. Just fluff that made the story drag out, and at times bored me to sleep...literally. This is not a joke. As most of you know this girl doesn't hardly ever sleep. This girl also never takes longer then 7 hours, spread out over the course of 3 days, to finish a book. It took me 7 days to get through Passion. And to be honest here, if I wasn't already so in love with this series, and planned to read the next book, I wouldn't have finished it. But in the end my love for Mrs. Kate and the Fallen series lead me to push through this and come out on the other side.

There's what...about 420 pages in this book? Well I think I only needed about 150 of those pages. Don't get me wrong there are twists and turns. A few OWWWW moments. I even shed tears on more than one occasion. I mean when it was good..it was GOOD! But the stuff in between was brutal. I will say that the twist at the end does redeem it a bit, and I almost upped it to 3 stars, but can you really do that? Is it really fair to up it just because the cliffy at the end? Especially when the rest doesn't deserve it? In my heart the answer is NO and so it stands at 2 stars.

But please don't let this dissuade you from reading this series. This is still one of my favorite series, and I absolutely will be reading the next one. Not only that I will be flat out dying to get my hands on it. For me Passion is like that one course you just had to take in college to complete your major...you don't see why you have to do it...it bores you to death...but in the end you end up learning something you needed because you stuck it out.

I can't believe I just had to slap a big fat 2 shoes on this.....
*sniffles*

Passion by Lauren Kate

"The beautiful angel blinked a few times, as if trying to decide whether Luce was an apparition. Then she titlted her head ever so slightly at the man she was standing with, as if trying to send him a signal. Before he'd even turned all the way around, Luce recognized the clean, sharp profile.
Cam." page 134

I'm still not that far int his book yet. I absolutely loved the first 2 books, and I am really hoping to say the same for this one!
