Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Synopsis from Goodreads:
Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but atleast she got a guardian angel out of it: a mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But, despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever and even worse, he's started spending time with Nora's arch-enemy, Marcie Millar.
Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Path hadnt been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feeling that he's hiding something.
Haunted by images of her murdered father, and questioning whether her nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death, Nora puts herself increasingly in dangerous situations as she desperatly searches for answers. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.
Review:
Okay I am gonna try to keep this short and to the point;)
Patch is still " oh so HOT!!!) I am mean seriously. Of very book I've read he is by far my most swoon worthy hottie. He is still mysterious and spends alot of time leaving Nora in the dark. This leaves Nora a little pissy and whiney. I still heart Nora but I do find myself wanting to shake her and say " just grow up!"
Vee is still the same old Vee. Even her choice in men is about the same. Poor Vee just can't catch a break. ( if you can call her poor?) it was still nice to see her have another big role in the second book. I do start to like her alittle more in this book. Funny how in Fallen I had to put Vee in time out, and now in Cresendo Nora is the one I put in the corner;) Then Omg Scotty the Potty really? That made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion. I found myself feeling sorry for him and I definitely enjoyed his introduction to the story.
All in all this is a great second to this series and I can't wait to read the next installment. This ending will leave your heart aching so don't say I didn't warn you.
